Hitachi
Established in 1910, Hitachi is a multinational conglomerate based in Japan. Recently, Hitachi successfully concluded its acquisition of a majority stake in ABB Power Grid. The resulting entity, Hitachi ABB Power Grids, emerged following the completion of Hitachi’s joint venture acquisition. This strategic move expanded Hitachi’s presence to around 470 locations spanning 90 countries, encompassing both leased and owned properties.
TISA, the recipient of the Americas and Middle East Regions for the Hitachi ABB rebrand program, has a significant role in the Americas, primarily focusing on the US (54) and Canada (18). Under the Hitachi umbrella, TISA was crucial in the Power Grids Brand Migration Engineering, Fabrication, and Installation of Interior and Exterior Signage Brand Program.
For the Hitachi ABB Power Grids program, TISA’s project management responsibilities encompass overseeing all aspects of the sign program. This includes site surveys, sign code checks, design recommendations, obtaining landlord and permit approvals, scheduling fabrication, selecting vendor partners, coordinating shipping, overseeing installation, and handling final billing.
TISA’s executive-level involvement extends to the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) & APAC (Asia-Pacific) program team, ensuring seamless coordination across regions. TISA remains actively engaged in the program, providing additional resources for Hitachi and VIM and ensuring the program’s success.
Specifically for the Hitachi ABB Power Grid Program, TISA is tasked with collaborating with the client to manage the quality of the initial site list. This involves identifying and addressing information gaps promptly to prevent delays in early project phases. TISA also coordinates an information gathering and reporting process to facilitate a comprehensive and timely exchange of project status details across functions.
Additionally, TISA organizes and manages weekly internal status meetings, preventing delays and ensuring seamless communication with the client. The team assists in compiling timely status information required for periodic meetings. Furthermore, TISA develops and manages a process to forecast evolving program schedule issues, recommending solutions to meet client schedule goals.
